This is a place where our Maine Chapters share their projects and apostolates.  You can see that each Chapter has its own “flavor” and style of preaching.

This six-hour retreat day is an opportunity for participants to learn about the format and styles of the Biblical Psalms.

With two presentations and time to practice the concepts involved, each person experiences a special type of prayer by learning to write their own psalms to God.

At the end of the workshop, there is a Spirit-filled time when participants share their psalms with each other if they so desire.

WRITING YOUR OWN PSALMS: A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

Apostolates

The goal of this nationally-acclaimed workshop is to assist Catholics to learn about and recognize their spiritual gifts so that they in turn would use them in service to the Church.

The Workshop has been offered “live” in several parts of the country for several years.  This particular experience of the Workshop will be offered in small group and audio format using the talks recorded by the developers of the program.  It is offered in five sessions, 2 1/2 hours long, two weeks apart.  Each participant will take the Spiritual Gifts Inventory, which will form the basis for further discussions and discernment of Gifts.

Those who complete the Inventory and the full program will be given the opportunity to further their discernment through the Called and Gifted II workshop.

Our chapter has selected several series of informational videos from the EWTN catalogue to present to the public for discussion and reflection.  Our first series is “Why be Catholic … when you could be anything else” — a lecture series presented by Catholic apologist Patrick Madrid.  Our intention is to view the video and hold discussions in segments over several weeks.

CATHOLIC VIDEO SERIES

Members of our Chapter have made it their personal Apostolates to assist in the local organization of nationally established Scripture Study programs.  They serve the local Catholic Communities as Coordinators and as Small Group Discussion Leaders.
